Asake Releases Fourth Studio Album MNEY on May 1 2026: Full Tracklist and What to Expect

Grammy-nominated Nigerian Afrobeats artist Asake has officially released his fourth studio album, titled MNEY, on Friday May 1 2026. The 13-track project is released under his independent imprint GIRAN Republic in partnership with EMPIRE, marking his second project under that label arrangement.

The album follows Asake's consistent run of releases since breaking into the mainstream. His debut album Mr Money With The Vibe arrived in 2022 and recorded the biggest opening day for an African album on Apple Music at the time of its release. Work of Art followed in 2023, then Lungu Boy in 2024, and MNEY now completes a remarkable run of four studio albums in four years for one of Nigerian music's most consistent performing artists.

Full Tracklist for MNEY

The album contains 13 tracks. The confirmed tracklist includes Intro, Worship featuring DJ Snake, Badman Gangsta featuring Tiakola, Asambe featuring Kabza De Small, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Oba, Why Love, and several additional tracks. The album incorporates previously released singles including Why Love, Badman Gangsta, and Worship, alongside fresh material that fans are hearing for the first time on the album's release date.

The Collaborations

The three guest features on MNEY reflect the global and Pan-African direction Asake has been building toward in recent years. The collaboration with French electronic music producer DJ Snake on Worship brings together two artists from entirely different musical traditions in a track that has already generated significant attention ahead of the full album release. Tiakola, the French-Congolese rapper, appears on Badman Gangsta, a track that samples Amerie's 2005 hit 1 Thing. South African Amapiano pioneer Kabza De Small features on Asambe, a track that reinforces Asake's ongoing engagement with the continental sound he has incorporated into his music since his early career.

The Album Rollout

The campaign leading up to MNEY was notable for its visual creativity. The album cover, commissioned by Asake and created by Iraqi-Dutch sculptor Athar Jabar, featured a marble sculpture of the artist. What made the rollout unusual was that the artwork evolved progressively on streaming platforms in the days before release, transitioning from an unfinished stone form to a detailed finished portrait. The staged visual progression kept fans checking streaming platforms repeatedly and generated consistent conversation about the project in the weeks before its release.

Asake announced the album on Instagram with a cryptic teaser video captioned MNEY MAY 1 alongside the hashtag MM. The announcement confirmed what many fans had suspected after a period of deliberate activity building anticipation through singles and a joint EP with Wizkid titled Real Vol 1, released earlier in 2026.

What MNEY Represents in Asake's Career

MNEY arrives at a point in Asake's career where his commercial success is well established and his international profile is growing steadily. His 2025 Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance category, though the award went to Tems, confirmed his place in the global conversation about African music. He has ended every year since 2022 as the most-streamed artist in Nigeria, a consistency that few artists on the continent have matched in the streaming era. MNEY is his most deliberately global-facing body of work to date, built on collaborations that extend well beyond the Nigerian and West African market that first made him a phenomenon.
