The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has explained why some candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination are seeing a No Result Yet message while checking their scores.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the board said the situation mainly affects candidates who do not meet the approved age requirement. According to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, results for underage candidates have not been released.

He added that whenever such candidates try to check their results, the system will return a No Result Yet message instead of showing their scores.
JAMB had earlier made it clear that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026 are eligible to take part in the examination. This policy is part of efforts to properly regulate admissions into tertiary institutions across the country.
The board did not state any immediate plan to release the withheld results, maintaining its position on the age requirement for the exam.
