One Killed in Cult Clash Near Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti During Matriculation Period

A violent clash linked to suspected cult groups has left one person dead in Aba Erinfun, a community close to Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti.

The incident reportedly occurred on April 10, 2026, around the same time the institution was holding its matriculation ceremony. According to reports, the confrontation broke out within the nearby community and quickly escalated into violence, resulting in the death of one individual.

Security operatives were deployed to the area shortly after the incident to restore calm and prevent further escalation. Normalcy was later restored in the community.
